This is not a thin runny balsamic vinegar. It has a thick, almost syrupy texture that doesn't run all over a plate. It's sweet, yet deep in flavor. Very smooth but the tang does not dissapoint. The acidity is very mellow in my opinion. It's almost more like a balsamic glaze because it's so sweet and thick. This is the real deal, but less costly than an aged DOP bottle you might save to wow your favorite guests. I love drizzling it over a simple salad with a cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and some parmesan cheese crisps for a gluten free crouton alternative. This is a great choice for everyday use, I'd still reach for perhaps a DOP bottle when guests are coming, but for my everyday needs this is more than adequate and very tasty.
I’ve tried quite a few balsamic vinegars, and this is one of the best I've tried. You can see and taste the difference right away. It’s very dark and thick, almost syrupy, and much richer than the regular balsamic you usually find at the grocery store. The flavor is really nice. It’s sweet and tangy without a harsh vinegar bite, and it has a smooth finish. It's good on tomatoes and salads, and I especially like it on grilled chicken. You don’t need much because the flavor is concentrated. It definitely has a gourmet feel, but it’s practical enough to use regularly.
I have tried several balsamic vinegars from my local grocer over the years but nothing that compares to this one. Carandini Emilio Gold Balsamic Vinegar has a rich flavor with a wonderful balance of sweetness and tanginess that makes it stand out from ordinary grocery store balsamic vinegar. What caught my attention first was how dense and thick it pours - like the difference between an aged port and a cheap box wine. This texture and depth of flavor give it a luxurious feel, and a little drizzle goes a long way.I’ve had it on salads, roasted vegetables and fresh tomatoes. It also works beautifully as a finishing touch for grilled meats and cheeses. This is the kind of balsamic vinegar that can turn a simple dish into something incredible without much effort. Yes it costs more than the grocery store options but it’s worth it.If you appreciate a high-quality balsamic with deep, concentrated flavor, Carandini Emilio Gold is well worth trying. I really enjoyed trying this balsamic vinegar! It has a rich, thick consistency that makes it feel a little more special than the everyday balsamic vinegar I normally use. The flavor is nicely balanced with a deep, slightly sweet taste that works really well drizzled over salads, fresh tomatoes, cheese, or even roasted vegetables.I also like that it comes from Modena, Italy, and the 8.45 oz bottle is a nice size to keep in the kitchen without taking up a lot of space. Because it’s thicker, a little goes a long way. This is definitely one of those ingredients that can make a simple meal feel a little more elevated without much effort.
This is the first time I got a higher quality/more expensive balsamic vinegar, and it definitely has a stronger taste than the typical cheap ones you can get at chain supermarkets. I love sweet and sour things, so I usually add a lot of balsamic vinegar and a tiny bit of olive oil to my bread. I also use it as salad dressing, or just on sliced tomatoes. I thought it was absolutely delicious. Balsamic vinegar is very versatile, and can also be used on grilled meats and ice cream. The depth of flavor was very noticeable, transitioning from sweet to tangy. The overall quality seemed high - I thought there was a good balance of sweet and sour, and I loved the flavor. The consistency was very smooth, but the thickness of the vinegar was more watery than I would have liked, so I docked a star.Price-wise, it seems on par with other high-quality balsamic vinegar bottles, so no complaints there.
Phenomenal Balsamic glaze! thick as described by seller. It tastes very good. I put this on my salad and even chicken lettuce wraps. It really adds a nice flavor. Its not too overpowering though, and you only need a small-medium level of drizzle. Highly recommended. This is a high end balsamic vinegar.
I really like this balsamic vinegar. It has a rich, slightly sweet flavor with just enough tang at the end. It’s definitely more flavorful than the basic balsamic I have tried from the grocery. The consistency is probably my favorite part. It’s thick enough to drizzle nicely over salads, tomatoes, and roasted vegetables without running all over the plate, but it’s not quite as thick as a glaze. The bottle also makes it easy to control how much comes out, which is nice because I don't need much to get plenty of flavor. It is more expensive than the everyday stuff, but I think the difference in flavor is noticeable. A little goes a long way, too.
I absolutely love Carandini Balsamic Vinegar and have the Silver set which consists of Black and White and they are a 'watery' consistency (how I like on my leaves) because of the more punchy-tarty flavor profile. As such this is also good if you prefer a more 'thicker' consistency, less sharp and sweeter taste because it is made with 80% cooked grape instead of 60%. These are great for fruits and things like tomatoes and cheese. Just enough sweetness and also goes well with variety of salads - such as fruity tomatoes.Overall they are great quality balsamic vinegar and you cannot go wrong with the Carandini name brand.
Everything that I hoped it would be. Excellent flavor!
Carandini Emilio balsamic vinegar is one of my favorite balsamic vinegars alongside Marky’s and Il Tinello.Pairing this with either olive oil or cold pressed avocado oil makes a culinary masterpiece. Drizzling this on fish, bruschetta, salads, etc. immediately elevates the flavor. This is rich in flavor with the perfect tang at the end.The consistency is thinner than my balsamic glazes but thicker than the more watery vinegars making it blend into my oils perfectly. While the price may seem high to some, over the years I have come to find if you want truly good vinegar you have to pay for it. My family can always tell when I’ve used this and I get immediate compliments on how good everything tastes. Even the kids prefer this vinegar to others we’ve used in the past. This is definitely a staple in our pantry.
The best aceto balsamico I know, we love it
